Dirty News

Our machine shop has officially moved and been added in house. It took quite some time and a whole lot of hard work to move all the machining equipment, but now that all is moved and in working order we are here to help you with all your machining needs. From do it yourself-ers, who just need a little help with easy machine fixes; to a complete engine rebuild. Gage, our machinist will be able to get you on your way. We don’t just do stock builds we also meddle in that “oh shit that’s a cop” build. Whatever you need, we’ve got you and your buddies covered!

Here at G&J, our love and passion for racing never changes. Although we got off to a rocky start this season, we are still striving to make the best of it. From being snowed in, to vehicle break downs and that seriously fun getting stranded bit, none of that stopped us from the one hell of a season we’ve had so far. Brad and our driver Jarid, have worked hard this winter to make some impressive strides with our “Batmobile”, *cough cough*, I meant the Willy’s. In addition to the newly added Neal Chance torque converter, which allows us to change our stall speeds with more ease, we also installed a quick drive transmission lock up. The water to the air cooler was removed to shed some unwanted pounds. All of these tweaks and tricks helped the Willy’s run a solid 7.56 at 177 mph at the Texas races. Our top goal is to hit 6′ by the end of this years racing season!

If you are newer to the diesel scene and wonder what it is that we can do for performance enhancement (and we aren’t talking the little blue pill), let us break it down for you. We recently had the pleasure of building Scott Mckinstry’s Duramax engine. Scott, is an awesome guy who races on the NHRDA circuit in the Sportsman and Super Diesel classes. A lot of great companies got on board with his build like: Carillo with rods, pistons and rings, Mahle race bearings, ATS 7000 turbo kit, Industrial ported heads…and many more, but these are just to name a few. What this means for you? That G&J Diesel is your one stop shop for parts from all of these amazing name brand companies. To make it even better, we carry many products in house from S&B air filter kits and replacement filters, to FASS pumps and filters. Along with turbo’s and break pads, to inner coolers and automatic running boards we’ve got you covered.

“Now that I know where to get the parts, is there a good time to get a great deal?” Excellent question Powerstroke Pete! The answer is none other than the Big Sky Truck Fest! Which happens to be right around the corner!! Truck Fest, put on by the NHRDA is the best time for drag racers, sled pullers, and truck enthusiasts alike. On August 25th and 26th, come on out to Acton, MT and head to the Yellowstone Drag Strip for kick ass prices on exhaust kits, programmers, turbo’s and the majority of what we have in stock. Best deal is, that most – if not all, will be on sale. We will have quite a bit of inventory at the track, but if you’re not seeing the right fit for your truck, we can put it down for an order at sale price and you can pick it up later. Be sure not to forget our annual customer appreciation BBQ at the end of the day Saturday! This BBQ comes with the best damn tri tip you’ve ever had in your life. So make sure to come check us out at our shop or take the short drive out for one hell of a good time at the Big Sky Truck Fest!
